Virginia Downie is Professor Emeritus of Communication Studies at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga, California. She has been teaching Interpersonal Communication, Gender Communication, Intercultural Communication, Small Group Communication, Public Speaking, and Logic and Argumentation courses at the university and college level for over 20 years.

Previously, Virginia produced publications and trained speakers for IBM/CADAM in Burbank, California. Her greatest interest has always been to understand the deepest workings of interpersonal relationships. As a dynamic and credible speaker, Virginia is sought as a guest speaker, trainer, and facilitator for small and large corporate, and private groups.

Virginia and her husband Ron, the parents of eight, and grandparents of sixteen children, currently live in Southern California.
